Activities for Educators

Teachers, administrators and counselors will benefit from the PA State GEAR UP Project, as one of its main goals is to support staff in their efforts to maintain and improve classroom standards of excellence. GEAR UP programs administered for staff will include:

• Graduate courses through Shippensburg University of PA
• Curriculum workshops developed by Shippensburg University of PA
• Governor’s Academy for Urban Education, a one-week residential program on urban education topics
• Mid-level certification workshops and preparation for the Praxis II exam
• Classroom research projects with student teachers
• Expanded field placement program for Shippensburg University education students
• Brain processing workshops.
