The PA State GEAR UP Project has a plan for you - beginning NOW! You will be receiving a 21st Century Scholars Certificate at a GEAR UP Kick-Off assembly in the Fall, and you will have an opportunity to experience events related to the questions listed above, and also participate in some or all of the following GEAR UP activities:

• Complete a GEAR UP survey
• Attend a meeting with your parents/guardians to learn about GEAR UP goals and activities
• Create an individual Educational Action Plan (EAP) with academic and personal goals
• Attend a Careeer Exploration Day
• Attend an “Excitement in Education” day on Shippensburg University of PA campus
• Participate in a tutoring and mentoring program with Shippensburg University of PA students
• Participate in summer academic programs on the Shippensburg University of PA campus
• Participate in the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program
• Receive tutoring from community volunteers.
