Harrisburg students will visit Shippensburg campus for a full day of classes on April 3, 2004.

Designed to introduce middle level students to a college atmosphere, Excitement in Education is a program sponsored by the Shippensburg University Honors Program. PA State GEAR UP will send fifty seventh grade Harrisburg students to Shippensburg campus for this one-day enhanced college experience.

Creativity is the focus for this spring’s event, as courses offer a range of interesting subjects: advertising, the art of miming, the poetry of rap, the game of chance, the influence of 60’s and 70’s rock on today’s pop music, and the sociology of groups and stereotypes. Students will select those classes that interest them, and they will participate in interactive sessions with the honor students.
