Joe Fitzpatrick, AVID consultant, and Sandy Patsolic are presently co-facilitating Cornell NoteTaking Workshops to begin the implementation of AVID, a program whose mission is to increase school-wide learning and performance of students.

Participants in this training are 6th and 7th grade teachers and principals from Shimmell, Marshall, Melrose, Downey, Camp Curtain, and John Harris High School.

The Harrisburg School District sent staff to AVID training this past summer, and these sessions will help the teachers implement the use of Cornell Notes and QuickWrites through the use of binders.
