As part of the college awareness objective of the PA State GEAR UP Project, students from Philadelphia schools will tour the WCU campus and participate in activities led by West Chester students who tutor in the School District of Philadelphia PA State GEAR UP schools.

Students will meet with University GEAR UP Coordinator Claudio Cerullo and hear from Tony Johnson, Dean of Education. They will also meet with representatives of the Financial Aid Office and the Office of Multicultural Affairs who will speak to the group about requirements for admissions, the application process, and how to get the most from their college experience.

To gain a true college experience, students will conclude their visit with a lunch in the campus cafeteria.
