    • On November 15, 2013, in partnership with Lehigh Carbon Community College and Allentown School District's High School Graduation Initiative, the GEAR UP staff from Allentown School District assisted in organizing the Your Future is Now Conference for both parents and students. In total, 142 GEAR UP students and parents from William Allen High School and Louis E. Dieruff High School participated in this event. The conference staged a variety of workshops that both students and parents could attend, where topics ranged from post-secondary support services and financial aid to setting and reaching educational and career goals while avoiding "Senioritis." In addition to the many workshops offered, the conference featured a college fair. All 14 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) universities were present along with many other regional colleges and universities to provide GEAR UP students and families with information and resources as they begin selecting colleges to apply to!
