The students of Philadelphia and Harrisburg School Districts are "Gearing
Up for Life" thanks to a grant provided by the U.S. Department
of Education and administered by the PA
Academy for the Profession of Teaching and Learning - part of the
PA State System of Higher
Education.
The goal of the PA State GEAR UP Project is to increase significantly
the number and percentage of disadvantaged middle school and secondary
school students in the Philadelphia and Harrisburg school districts
who are prepared for, pursue, and succeed in postsecondary education.
